Conversing between Senses
How can a poster be more inclusive in public space?
This project explores the idea of an inclusive, haptic poster — a poster that can be read not only with the eyes, but with the hands.
Using thread as a medium, the poster was knitted in two contrasting colors. Through intentionally intersecting stitches, a three-dimensional text emerges from the surface. The message becomes tactile — perceptible through touch.
Alongside the raised lettering, the same text appears in braille, integrated as a visual and decorative element. Braille, a reading and writing system that is increasingly fading from everyday awareness, is honored here while the main haptic text is set in Latin letters to remain accessible to a wider audience.
The result is a poster that invites interaction instead of passive viewing.
Close your eyes. Read the text with your hands.
